Pupils of art schools are invited to evaluate and discuss a joint exhibition of painter father and photographer son (Jonas and Ignas Maldziunai), that is currently shown at Kaunas art gallery MENO PARKAS.
Art schools usually emphasize the technical training of future artists. This discussion will give an opportunity to take up the outside view of an art critic, to evaluate the work of another (artist), and to earn the first publication in cultural press: as the final result of the discussion the participants will have to provide a critical review of the exhibition; the best articles will be published in Lithuanian cultural weekly "Nemunas".
The idea has been initiated by the art gallery MENO PARKAS; the discussion will be curated by famous artist and curator, painter Eglė Velaniškytė.
Young painter Milda Gailiute's introduction to her own exhibition at Kaunas Antanas Zmuidzinavicius Museum will begin the meeting with the artist.
Milda is one of the most active artists of Kaunas, now preparing a new exhibition after an AiR in Vienna, where she spent two months in 2012. She will talk about her experiences, present her work and finally make a workshop for young people who'd be daring enough to express themselves in a play of paints.

After the first successful competition in 2013, the new topic was announced as early as November 2013. Two more cities - Kelmė and Anykščiai - join the festivities of European Creativity Day in Lithuania. The young people will have their photos shown in one of the best exhibition halls of Kaunas, as well as in exhibition spaces of Kelmė and Anykščiai. Later, the photos will travel to the schools of the participants. Authors of the most interesting shots will receive prizes among which - tickets to the youth photography summer camp in Kaunas.
